Scientific
For decades, our Fairchild Imaging products have provided strategic advantages to our electronic imaging OEM customers in various scientific markets, including:
- Optical and Electron Microscopy
- X-ray crystallography
- X-ray imaging
- Astronomy
Because high resolution plays such a crucial role in scientific imaging, the Fairchild Imaging CMOS and CCD products continue to be the pre-eminent sensors used for extremely high-resolution solutions from the x-ray through the near infrared.
Our product architecture spans a range including the small format 0.9cm x 0.7cm (1280x1024) sCMOS sensor to the larger format 1.7cm x 1.4cm (2560x2160) sCMOS sensor to our wafer scale 6cm x 6cm (4k x 4k) CCD devices to our largest area array to date, the 8cm x 8cm (9,216 x 9,216) devices. All of these sensors have been designed to provide the highest performance available in the scientific application areas where they are employed.
See our Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) Sensors Page for more complete information.
See our Large Area CCD Sensors page for more complete information on these products.
In addition to our high-performance imagers, we also manufacture the Fairchild Imaging SciMOS 2051 F2 cooled scientific camera for low light, high dynamic range, high speed imaging applications in life science, such as next generation sequencing, high content imaging and optical tomography. It can also be use for inspection or medical imaging applications where low light and high speed are required.
The SciMOS camera systems features:
- High-performance readout electronics to minimize readout noise
- Thermoelectric cooling to minimize dark noise
- High-speed readout for dynamic imaging applications
- High resolution – covers the whole microscope field of view
We believe that you will find the Fairchild Imaging SciMOS camera to be the platform of choice for your OEM application.
