The CCD 449 is a 2048 x 2048 active element solid state charge coupled device (CCD) interline transfer sensor. This wafer scale CCD is intended for advanced medical imaging and non-destructive testing (NDT) where large area and video rate readout is required. The CCD 449 is organized as an array of 2048 horizontal by 2048 vertical imaging elements. The pixel pitch is 39µm with a 70% fill factor. The CCD 449 has a three-side buttable architecture that enables construction of large mosaic imaging systems. Eight two-stage amplifiers allow for high-speed progressive scan readout (up to 30 fps).
