CCD 412

The CCD 412 is a 512 x 1024 (512 x 512 imaging area), 15µm pixel imaging array that employs a buried N-channel, three-level polysilicon process, and operates with three-phase clocks, with phase three implants to achieve multi-pinned phase (MPP) operation for low dark current. This device was designed specifically for space applications. The device is configured in frame transfer architecture with the image area and frame store area defined by optical shielding. Bussing of the parallel and serial clocks allows for imaging in either the top or the bottom half of the parallel register with readout through one or two output ports, or imaging in the central half of the parallel register with read-out in four-quadrant format through four output ports.
