The SciMOS™ 2051 Model F2 is a high-performance imaging camera for use in applications that demand a combination of extreme sensitivity, high resolution, high speed and large dynamic range. The camera is based upon the CIS2051, a 2560 x 2160 scientific CMOS (sCMOS) sensor, which is available in a front-illuminated format. Highly parallel output provides low noise capability, with cameras exhibiting less than 2 e- read noise. The camera has dual High Gain and Low Gain ADCs on every column which produce 22 bits of raw data. The camera combines these two data streams into one 16-bit image and applies corrections for offset and gain to produce a uniform, low noise image at speeds up to 100 FPS at full resolution. The camera is stabilized to 20 ºC with thermoelectric cooling, minimizing the dark current. Linear performance over a 16-bit dynamic range, high speed operation with low noise and sophisticated features such as software-controlled windowing and binning make the SciMOS 2051 camera the ultimate instrument for applications such as Next Generation Sequencing, High Throughput Screening, Real Time Confocal Microscopy and Multidimensional Fluorescence Microscopy, among others.
