Fairchild Imaging provides high-performance scientific and industrial cameras to our OEM customers in a wide range of applications. We have more than twenty-five years of experience and tens of thousands of units installed worldwide. Our industrial line scan cameras are rugged ultra-sensitive cameras suited for high performance under low light level conditions. We offer two families of line scan cameras:

Owl™ cameras utilize our Active Reset™ CMOS technology. Osprey™ cameras utilize our high performance TDI CCD technology.

Three families of scientific cameras utilize our large area CCDs in both front- and back-illuminated configurations.

Peregrine™ family of cooled cameras utilize our 2K x 2K CCD 447 and 4k x 4k CCD 486. Condor™ family uses our 6cm x 6cm CCD486 with 1:1, 1.5:1 and 2.2:1 fiber optic coupling and thermoelectric or cryogenic cooling. Harrier™ family of cameras employ our 2k x 2k sensor in a small form factor uncooled package.

These scientific cameras offer low-noise, dual-speed multiport readout and 16-bit dynamic range. Dark current is virtually eliminated by deep cooling the sensor. The large focal planes in both the Peregrine and the Condor families provide unprecedented optical throughput and sensitivity.

Custom cameras and sensors are also available, providing our clients with the benefit of buying off-the-shelf as well as custom solutions tailored to their unique requirements.
