Milpitas, CA July 15, 2004- Fairchild Imaging
launches a new line of ultra-sensitive scientific cameras utilizing
their large area CCD technology.
Fairchild Imaging is pleased to announce the Peregrine™, our
latest generation of scientific cameras designed for use in imaging
applications that demand high performance under low light conditions.
These state-of-the-art cameras, originally available only to select
OEM customers, are built to take full advantage of Fairchild Imaging’s
2k x 2k and 4k x 4k sensors in both front- and back-illuminated versions.
Superior speed and sensitivity are achieved with a low-noise, dual-speed,
multiport readout architecture. Deep thermoelectric cooling to –60 °C
virtually eliminates dark current. Hard metal seals assure a reliable
vacuum and maintenance free operation. Linear, 16-bit dynamic range
and sophisticated features such as anti-blooming control and software
control over binning and gain make these cameras the ultimate instrument
in scientific imaging. The cameras are available with standard lenses
and mounts and are easily integrated into scientific instrumentation.
